Officers
President, Chuck Bearce, after three previous stints as an officer with the club, jumped into the "pond" again to work toward making Clearwater Bass Club one of the best bass fishing clubs in Florida ! When Chuck first joined CBC way back in June, '90 and throwing only a "Red Shad" worm and a "Snagless Sally" (he took too much kiddin' about that lure and doesn't fish it anymore), he didn't catch very many fish, but our 10-time "Classic Contender" has come a long way toward understanding what it takes to be a consistent fisherman ! Much more important is his appreciation of the great bunch guys that make up this club as we compete on the lakes of Central Florida !
Vice President, Buddy Doyle, after joining CBC in '96, and garnering 4 "Classic Contender" titles, has agreed to join Chuck for another season as "Second-in-Command" in guiding the club with his steady style and perspective on what is really important and that is just having fun fishing with a great organization. Buddy attained a personal milestone with his "Sunday Catch" of a 7.05 pound Lake June-in-Winter beauty in his latest "Classic" appearance ! We are, as a club, fortunate to have this gentleman fisherman as a member and a leader in Clearwater Bass Club. Welcome aboard, Buddy !
Secretary / Treasurer, David DeBardeleben, one of our "Young Turks" (translation: young up-and-coming quality fisherman) is ready to take the reins as club "Scribe/Bean Counter" for this next season. With only one year under his belt, David (AKA "Double D") has already shown his steady fishing with a "Second Place" finish and had his first "Classic Contender" appearance in his first full season with the club and now is going to start his trek towards a position of leadership. We are pleased that David represents the future of Clearwater Bass Club as he continues to grow with us ! It is a treat to have him as a part of CBC !
Tournament Director, Bob Gwinn, another of our valuable long-time members (since '93) "got the short straw" in our TD selection process, and will assume the duties of the toughest job we have in Clearwater Bass Club ! Our own "West-by-God Virginia Mountain Man" has three Top Ten" appearances gaining "Classic Big Fish" honors on Lake Rosalie back in '06 with an 8 pound lunker that blew away the competition. Anything you want to know about that "wacky style" of presentation, just ask Bob and he'll fill you in on a style that will catch you some fish ! |
