"33rd" Annual Awards Banquet
2009 - 2010

April 2, 2010

More ''wood'' the ''bucks,'

With a table full of plaques and a table full of door prizes, a table full of club officers and tables filled with club members and guests plus a banquet room filled with the celebration at the end of our 2009-2010 season, we kicked off our 33rd Annual Awards Banquet.

Attending the gala event was none other than past member Jeff Hutchins and his wife, Sara and former member Bob Barnard and his lovely lady, Trish. We were pleased that each of our guests joined in honoring those who distinguished themselves as the season unfolded.

Table 3 (l. to r.) Trish and Bob, Michelle, Phyllis, Scott and Hugh Palmer

With a hearty “Welcome” from President, Chuck Bearce, “Happy Hour” kicked off with adult beverages and our first drawing of the evening conducted by Vice President, Buddy Doyle.

Holiday Inn Select outdid themselves with excellent hors d’oevres (that’s “horse dovers” for Scott) and a fabulous buffet, along with a desert to satisfy any sweet tooth. Many thanks got to Scott Ellis for getting this event off the ground and thanks go to his lovely wife, Michelle for all she does to make our banquet an exclamation point on another interesting season.

Sticking with the popularity of last year’s event, we continued with Bass Banquet Bingo and spirited shouts from the numerous winners. With numerous drawings for the table full of door prizes (another effort from our own Scott Ellis), no one went home empty handed.

Moving on to the actual awards, our “Top Ten” finishers were honored with a plaque recognizing each of their efforts as each competed for the top spots throughout the season.

Classic Awards

Always a highlight because of the emphasis placed on doing well in our Classic at the end of the season, emerging out of the “Top Ten” that competed in the 2-day event, Jerry Bischoff took Third Place, Chuck Bearce took Second Place and Scott Ellis bested the group with a solid win. Congratulations to all of you for a productive season.
